After a rigorous judging process by a panel of business experts which considered thousands of entries, the BID was chosen as a winner of the 2006 Forbes Enterprise Award in the Non-Profit / Governmental Category. The award recognizes small busniesses for their visionary practices and achievements and the BID was acknowledged in an advertisement celebrating the winners in the April 16, 2007 issue of Forbes Magazine.
